Tallahassee native, Haley Drew, has made a name for herself in the local community and Phi Eta Sigma. Currently studying as an Exercise Physiology major, Drew can also be found participating in a variety of organizations on and off campus. She currently serves as the Phi Eta Sigma Service Director, while holding the leadership position of Service Chair for HOSA Future Health Professionals. In addition, Drew is involved in research at the FSU Coastal & Marine Laboratory under the direction of Dr. Ingels and will serve as a Freshman Interest Group Leader in the Fall. Drew is often found spending her time helping those less fortunate. Pursuing this passion Drew comments, “I enjoy volunteering at the Kearney Center in Tallahassee in addition to serving two years in AmeriCorps for Big Bend Hospice”.

Drew has become an integral part of Phi Eta Sigma, establishing a presence within the organization her freshman year. Drew says, “After I joined my freshman year, I served on Leadership Council for intramural sports for two semesters. This provided a great opportunity to learn more about the organization and the different leadership roles we offer. I then interviewed and was chosen as Service Director where I have been able to share my passion for serving others”. Many of our service activities are accredited to Drew and her desire to give back to the community such as Adopt a Road, Westminster Oaks volunteering, the PB&J event for the Kearney Center.

Resembling her favorite quote, “We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone” by Ronald Reagan, Haley Drew’s passion for helping those in need has not gone unnoticed. Claiming it to be her greatest accomplishment to date, Haley was “nominated for the FSU Humanitarian of the Year award by the College of Human Sciences” while at FSU. This is a testament to the great work Drew does and her impact in the community.  In the continuing pursuit of her passions, Drew hopes to attend medical school to pursue a career as a physician. We appreciate all of her hard work and dedication to Phi Eta Sigma and wish her the best in the following of her dreams.
